POLKA POTENTE stands on the foundation of ANIADA A NOAR ("ein jeder ein Narr"-"each one a fool"), one of the leaders of "new" folk music in Austria these days. Over the last 23 years the quartet has celebrated success in Austria, Germany, Italy, France and Slovenia and has released 11 CDs.

Finding completion through the many sided and creative potency of Reinhard Ziegerhofer on bass (formerly BROADLAHN) and Gabriel Froihofer (RAMADU, SPAFUDLA), this formation is already attracting much attention, also across the Austrian borders.

The idea is new, traditional fiddle music with such intensity has up to now never been seen.

Excellent song material, catchy melodies without a sell-by date in contrast to neck-breaking Polka-rock.
